This quilt has been inspired by some of the architecture and decoration of the Renaissance era. The cetral panel was inspired by the fabric covering oh a chair in the 'Chifley Hotel' on South Terrace. The other blocks come from a variety of sources including a tile in dublin, a gate in Venice, a building in budapest, a door in Prague, and even more from some wrapping paper bought in a newsagent! The borders have also been adapted from the Renaissance architectur of italy.
